New Orleans police on Monday said they are poised to release new images of the people who brutally attacked and robbed two Boston-area tourists in the French Quarter on Saturday night. "In just a little while, everyone is going to see you, and they're going to know what you look like," New Orleans Police Chief Michael Harrison said, referring to images provided by the nonprofit crime camera network Project NOLA. "It's just a matter of time before we catch you." The commander of the police district that patrols the French Quarter, Nicholas Gernon, said anyone arrested in connection with the case will be booked on counts of second-degree robbery, which carries up to 40 years in prison. During the 1970s, someone came up with a schema (or popularized an earlier one) of three “worlds”: The “First,” “Second,” and “Third” Worlds.

The First World comprised the nations of affluence, law, high trust, stability and peace. Most such nations were white, and were led by America; the most prominent exception, racially, was Japan.

The Second World comprised the nations of Communism, which were characterized by totalitarian state power, lawlessness, poverty, low trust, instability, war and genocide.

Third World nations comprised the rest of the world, nations that were non-white and forever poor, in which the law was unreliable and corrupt, in which government officials (including police) routinely extorted bribes out of citizens for even the most basic services, in which criminals often ran rampant, in which trust was non-existent, and one made one’s way through tribal allegiances based on clan, religion, ethnicity, and gangs.

Marxists replaced the notions of the First and Third Worlds with those of “developed” and “underdeveloped” nations.

They promoted the notion that the First World had gotten rich simply through plundering the Third World, and forcibly kept the Third World from developing. After all, since the Third World was just as smart and virtuous, or even moreso than the First World, there was no other explanation for why the one world should be rich, while the other lagged so far behind.

The Marxists banned the facts that explained the inequality—the much higher intelligence and virtue quotients of the First World and the Third—as “racist.”

I maintain that there is now a Fourth World. It contains much of the former “First World,” whose nations have deliberately been corrupted by importing hundreds of millions of non-whites who are incredibly stupid, violent, corrupt, criminal, lazy, and above all, racist. They hate the white nations (Japan and Singapore have so far stoutly held off the deluge), that they ruthlessly plunder, while ignoring or denying that they are killing the goose that laid the golden eggs.

The Fourth World is the worst of all worlds. Whereas in the Second World, seditionists and traitors are executed posthaste, here they are treated like heroes, and productive, white citizens are robbed by the government, and their hard-earned assets given to the bad guys. Instead of evildoers being held up as cautionary tales and publicly vilified, they are turned into heroes, and enriched. In recent days, for instance, the criminal, racist parents of racist, would-be cop-killer Mike Brown were rewarded with $1.5 million by the city of Ferguson, Missouri. There is on paper a system of Anglo-Saxon-based laws, but in practice, there is a system of the rule of men, not laws. And entire branches of the economy such as the schools and higher education, instead of producing and disseminating knowledge, are run by criminals who do nothing but lie, in defaming good people and America’s history, promoting hoaxes, violence and mayhem, and stealing from those whom they defame.

I have been telling the story of this plunder, destruction, and genocide for many years. Please help me continue to do so by hitting the PayPal “Donate” tab above, and making a generous donation.

I thank you, and your posterity will, too.

“Democracy has been suspended here”: Where? Who Said It?

By Nicholas Stix

That was foreign media activist Phil Gunson to Duranty-Blair laureate Jim Sciutto on CNN at around 5 p.m. today, about Venezuela.

Gunson said that the Venezuelan prisons are “hellholes,” with the torture of prisoners. He quoted one woman as saying that she’d kill herself, before she’d go back to a Venezuelan prison.

In other words, they’re not the felons’ paradises that American.

Gunson gave no context to the woman’s hyperbole. What had she been in for? In how much danger was she of being sent back?

All over the world, women get huge affirmative action advantages in the criminal law, in practice, such that they practically have to commit genocide, before being sent to prison.

Sciutto: “Do the demonstrators have any chance of bringing down this government?”

I couldn’t hear Gunson’s response, but why would that be Sciutto’s automatic question? Haven’t we already seen this picture, in the Mideast. It was called the “Arab Spring.”

Democracy hasn’t been “suspended” in Venezuela, because it either never existed (in the form Americans mean), or it did so a long ago.

There was no “democracy” under dictator Hugo Chavez, but CNN didn’t talk about it being “suspended,” or ask how he could be brought down. Ah, but prisoners are being “tortured.”

I guarantee you that Chavez treated prisoners as badly or worse than the present regime does.

Breaking News! Film Noir on Hump Day: See the Smouldering, Original Version of The Postman Always Rings Twice (1946)!

Although it's not a Film Noir Sunday special, TCM is showing the original, 1946 version of The Postman Always Rings Twice, with John Garfield and Lana Turner at 12:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday, June 27.

It took several years to film the story due to concerns about the material being taboo, Production Code-wise. After Billy Wilder's Double Indemnity (1944) which was also based on a James M. Cain novel with a similar plot line, it was decided to go ahead with The Postman.

Lana Turner is always dressed in white and her legs are shown frequently. A possible false note? Turner is too gorgeous to be married to a dumpy guy 30 years older than her.

N.S.: I saw the re-make with Jessica Lange and Jack Nicholson about 35 years ago, in West Germany. The husband was a paunchy, middle-aged Greek in that version. But if Cora was white trash, the Greek having a successful diner would have made him rich as Croesus in her eyes.

Medieval Scholastic Nitpicking, Part 2

June 26, 2017
By Countenance Blogmeister

My illegitimate father writes in RCP about GA-6:
Georgia’s 6th District was significant because it’s a traditionally Republican district whose college-educated voters (59 percent of adults, sixth-highest in the country) were repelled by Donald Trump. Mitt Romney carried it 61 to 37 percent in 2012; Trump won it by only a 48.3-46.8 percent margin last year. That’s a huge shift from the persistent partisan patterns that have mostly held for two decades.

President Romney carried the district bigly, while private citizen Trump only won it narrowly.

Wait what?

In a related note, I’ve been pointing you to various precinct-by-precinct maps produced and curated by one Ryne Rohla. Not long ago, he put up the Missouri-specific map, but has not yet put together a 16-delta-12 map for Missouri. As you can see, he does have a 16-delta-12 map for the whole country, which one can click to enlarge. And, in our area, you can see that the most notable and acute red-to-blue swing was in and close to the Highway 40 corridor and Olive corridor from the city limits on through to Chesterfield. That confirms the national trend, again as you can see on the national 16-delta-12 map that upper middle to upper income suburbs of major cities swung very noticeably from Republican/Romney in 2012 to Democrat/Hillary in 2016.

Which certainly served President Romney and President Rodham well.

Wait what?

Also remember my snarky post from back in December about this matter. Putting this all together, we can now yield some object lessons:

(1) There are two main reasons why we hear what is really irrelevant noise about suburban higher income college educated Republican leaning white voters: (A) Socially, to use them as a fulcrum to make fun of downscale Trump voters, and (B) Because of what I wrote back in December, see that post’s comments, that Conservatism Inc think tanks and consulting firms heavily rely on donations from suburban higher income college educated Republican leaning white voters who swung heavily from red in ’12 to blue in ’16. Of course the people that think and write for such institutions will try to contend that the people writing them checks are still politically relevant and still politically matter.

(2) In spite of that, suburban higher income college educated Republican leaning white voters really don’t matter. Romney won them by landslide margins but finished south of 270, while Trump only carried them slightly and finished north of 270. Which means that even an unwarshed normie can look at this and conclude that there is a necessary trade-off between around 20% of suburban higher income college educated Republican leaning white voters on the one hand, and winning on the other hand. In the local context, the fact that the 40 and Olive corridors through St. Louis County is dark blue on Ryne’s 16-delta-12 really hurt Trump, as it meant the difference between Romney winning Missouri by 9 and Trump winning Missouri by 18. Nationally, Trump lost a fair percentage of that demographic around many big cities, but his consolation prize was Iowa, Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, the latter three were last red during the Reagan Presidency.

Barone: It’s True that the GOP Swept the Four Special Elections, but, but, but …

Re-posted by Nicholas Stix

The Outlook after the Special Elections
By Michael Barone
June 23, 2017

The victory of Republican Karen Handel in the special election in Georgia's 6th Congressional District on Tuesday has discouraged Democrats and encouraged Republicans. Democrat Jon Ossoff won 48.1 percent in the special election's first round April 18, and Democrats had high hopes that they could take this House seat from the Republicans.

But even with $30 million spent -- in what became the most expensive House race ever -- and with a turnout of 260,000 (more than the 210,000 who voted in the 2014 midterm), Ossoff won exactly 48.1 percent again. Not quite enough.

Georgia's 6th District was significant because it's a traditionally Republican district whose college-educated voters (59 percent of adults, sixth-highest in the country) were repelled by Donald Trump. Mitt Romney carried it 61 to 37 percent in 2012; Trump won it by only a 48.3-46.8 percent margin last year. That's a huge shift from the persistent partisan patterns that have mostly held for two decades.

The good news for Democrats is that they were able to hold Handel to a Trumpish rather than the traditionally expected margin in such a district. The bad news is that there aren't that many other Republican-held districts with a lot of highly educated voters.

Republicans hold only six of the 23 districts with college graduate majorities. Most were won years ago by Democrats in elections in which the persistent partisan patterns held true. Of the Republican-held districts where 40 percent or more of the voters are college graduates, only 14 were carried by Hillary Clinton last year.

These 14 seats -- plus the four more that Trump carried by less than 5 percent -- are obvious Democratic targets, and the result in Georgia suggests that Democrats could be competitive in many of them. But Democrats need a net gain of 24 seats for a House majority, and in good years, parties usually gain only half the seats they seriously target.

Moreover, Republican incumbents won 15 of these 18 seats by double-digit margins in 2016 despite the local Trump undertow. Most or all are running again, and though Democrats may try to field stronger opponents against many, the Georgia result won't help recruitment.

There's a contrast between the special election in Georgia's 6th District and the three other special elections in districts with far lower percentages of college graduates (23 to 31 percent) -- Kansas's 4th District, Montana's at-large district and South Carolina's 5th District. Trump carried all three by wider margins than Romney, but in each, Republicans failed to match his showing and won with results reverting toward or falling below the levels of the persistent partisan pattern.

This is often the pattern in special elections, wherein you can cast a protest vote without affecting the balance of partisan power much. And it's especially true when, as in these examples, no one expects the incumbent party's candidate to lose. That was the case Tuesday in South Carolina's 5th District, where 87,000 voted -- one-third the turnout in Georgia's 6th District.

In off-year congressional elections, the dynamics are different. Incumbents enter with an edge and often without serious opposition. You can't cast a protest vote without risking a change in party control, a risk that seems likely to be palpable in 2018.

And the old maxim that increased turnout helps Democrats may not hold. It didn't in Georgia's 6th District, where highly educated Republicans, perhaps unnerved by last week's baseball shooting and constant talk of impeachment, turned out in the rain. Higher turnout would probably have helped Republicans in the other three special elections, too.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi presumably realizes this when she cautions fellow Democrats, as she did in 2006, not to frame the election as a referendum on impeachment. Why squander the votes of those who want to check the president but not oust him (or hold a pointless Senate trial)?

In Politico, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel advises Democrats to do what he did, as House campaign chairman, in 2006: Recruit candidates with local roots and views suited to local terrain -- and with sharp political instincts, which both parties' candidates seemed to lack in the special elections.

My impression is that none of the Democrats (except maybe Archie Parnell in South Carolina's 5th District) had the political skills and local appeal that enabled so many Democrats to win Republican-leaning seats in the 1970s and hold them in the 1980s. And none of the Republicans showed the political skills and enthusiasm of many Newt Gingrich followers in the 1990s or tea partyers in the 2010s.

In 2016, Trump carried 230 House districts, and House Republicans won 242 seats. To win a House majority, Democrats need Trumpish results in high-education districts and improvements in downscale areas on the persistent partisan patterns along which voters of all education levels make their choices. It's possible, but it's an uphill climb -- a little more so since Tuesday.

Reagan and the Democrat congress compromised. They both wanted more spending, each for their own reasons, so they got both. They still had to pick and choose. Caspar Weinberger had some tough calls to make. One proposal was to refit and modernize the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany (now sunk off Florida as an artificial reef). This would have cost some $850 million, back then, and she would still not have been able to operate F/A-18 Hornets. It wasn't worth it, as the F-8 Crusader was already gone, and the A-4 Skyhawk going the same way. The Des Moines class cruisers were considered for refitting, but they didn't have the midships deck space for a heavy missile battery, quite unlike the Iowa class battleships, which were refitted, and proved quite useful.

The economic boom that resulted from lower taxes seems to have helped, though the effects took some time. We had a recession in Colorado in the early 1980s, in part due to the oil shale bust hurting the banking industry. Parts of downtown Denver looked like a ghost town. The real-estate bust hurt us 20 years later; the US-36 corridor between Denver and Boulder had plenty of new, unoccupied business space, and strip malls in Colorado Springs became vacant.

Part of what happened here was merely hideous business decisions. CVS bought out Long's Drug. I could get stuff at Long's I couldn't find anywhere else in Colorado, like packaged wonton soup and Nalley's canned chile. They closed every store here down, renamed them in California, and only kept the original name in Hawaii, due to name recognition. There was one about a mile from here.

Egghead Software did something similar. The big-shots decided they needed to close so many stores, and that number exactly matched the ones we had in Colorado, so they closed them all. There was one about a mile from here, just north off Academy from what used to be Long's Drug. That building is still empty. It's not in good shape anymore, so I reckon it's an eventual scrape-off.

K-Mart is gone from the Chapel Hills Mall. That's an anchor store. It was, anyway. Borders Books shut down nationwide, so that's also gone from Chapel Hills. I'm almost never there anymore. I suspect Sears and Target are circling the drain. When I needed a replacement drive belt for a vacuum cleaner, Sears didn't carry them anymore, so I had to mail-order them from Amazon. I got a package of 10, so I don't think even my daughter will run out. I even had to wait 30 minutes at Sears before anyone could answer my questions. I could have saved a drive and some time doing it online first thing. The hell with those people, if that's their business model.

The last time I was at Home Despot (spelling deliberate), I got repeatedly waved off by someone on the telephone. I screamed at the top of my leather lungs, "I'll drive the f*****g f**k home and call you then, or maybe I'll just mail-order it from Harbor Freight." I'm not at a store to wait while some punk is on the telephone. If I am physically there, I take priority over anyone on the phone, because I will otherwise leave right away. It turns out that I have policies, too. If I am physically in the store and want to spend money there, the bastards on the telephone can wait.

Yes, I am a curmudgeon. I highly recommend it.

We're in a situation where, while there are obviously retailers other than these three, the American retail sector is down to three real superpowers, the sort of which the sector catches cold if any one of them sneezes: Amazon, Wal-Mart and Aldi. And each one of them thinks of the other two as its sworn mortal enemy.

I know Sears/K-Mart is definitely circling the drain. Target is on some down times, but there will always be room for a national big box presence not named Wal-Mart just to provide an alternate to Wal-Mart. But, Wal-Mart seems like it's going to rule the roost in the mainstream big-box retail space for a long time, just as Amazon will do for online and Aldi for inferior goods (economics definition, not moral definition) for foodstuffs and sundries.

Several weeks ago, at one of the many evening networking get-togethers and parties that I'm obliged to attend, I heard one degree of separation gossip that clued me into this kind of thing. Someone at the get-together had just recently been to another when he was in earshot of some regional mid-level managerial munchkin for Wal-Mart, who was fuming about something that was overlooked about St. Louis's newest Wal-Mart location (in the Kenrick Seminary area, for those of you that know) -- The mangler said something along the lines of: "We wound up putting our new store next to a f**king Aldi."

Supreme Court Breaks Judicial Conspiracy Against President Trump, Reinstating Travel Ban!

Supreme Court revives parts of Trump travel ban order, agrees to hear case
by Lawrence Hurley
Jun 26th 2017 11:15AM

WASHINGTON, June 26 (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday handed a victory to President Donald Trump by allowing his temporary bans on travelers from six Muslim-majority countries and all refugees to go into effect for people with no connection to the United States while agreeing to hear his appeals in the closely watched legal fight.

The court, which narrowed the scope of lower court rulings that had completely blocked his March 6 executive order, said it would hear arguments on the legality of one of Trump's signature policies in his first months as president in the court's next term, which starts in October.

The justices granted parts of his administration's emergency request to put the order into effect immediately while the legal battle continues.

The court said that the travel ban will go into effect "with respect to foreign nationals who lack any bona fide relationship with a person or entity in the United States."

The Supreme Court left the lower-court injunctions against the ban in place, but only with respect to the challengers to the ban themselves and others in similar circumstances, meaning they involve people in the United States who have relationships with foreign nationals abroad and whose rights might be affected if those foreigners were excluded from entry.

But the court said the injunctions were too broad to also include barring enforcement of the ban against foreigners who have no connection to the United States at all. "Denying entry to such a foreign national does not burden any American party by reason of that party's relationship with the foreign national," the court said.

The court also said it would allow a 120-day ban on all refugees entering the United States to go into effect on the same grounds, allowing the government to exclude from the United States refugee claimants who do not have any "bona fide relationship" with an American individual or entity.

Three of the court's conservatives said they would have granted Trump's request in full, including Trump appointee Neil Gorsuch.

The case is Trump's first major challenge at the Supreme Court, where he restored a 5-4 conservative majority with the appointment of Gorsuch, who joined the bench in April. There are five Republican appointees on the court and four Democratic appointees.

The March 6 order called for a 90-day ban on travelers from Libya, Iran, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen and a 120-day ban on all refugees entering the United States to enable the government to implement stronger vetting procedures. It was blocked by federal judges before going into effect on March 16 as planned.

Trump issued the order amid rising international concern about attacks carried out by Islamist militants like those in Paris, London, Brussels, Berlin and other cities. But critics have called the order a mean-spirited, intolerant and un-American "Muslim ban."

The state of Hawaii and a group of plaintiffs in Maryland represented by the American Civil Liberties Union argued that the order violated federal immigration law and the Constitution's First Amendment prohibition on the government favoring or disfavoring any particular religion. Regional federal appeals courts in Virginia and California both upheld district judge injunctions blocking the order.

Trump signed the order as a replacement for a Jan. 27 order issued a week after he became president that also was blocked by federal courts. The revised order was intended to overcome the legal issues posed by the original ban, which also included Iraq among the nations targeted and a full ban on refugees from Syria. The revised order also jettisoned language that gave preferential status to persecuted religious minorities, which critics said could be taken as favoring Christians and other religious groups over Muslims.

Trump has called the March order a "watered down, politically correct" version of the January one. But the order still embodied his "America First" nationalist message and reflected his views of the dangers posed to the United States by certain immigrants and visitors.

The administration has said the travel ban is needed to allow time to implement stronger vetting measures, although it has already rolled out some new requirements not blocked by courts, including additional questions for visa applicants.

Another Racial Double-Murder in Knoxville, Tennessee, that also Could Have been Prevented

War crime victim Sergio Rivera

By Grand Rapids Anonymous
Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 11:19:00 P.M. EDT

WOOD-TV and the local stations are reporting two Michigan teens (18-year-olds Jaloen Morris and Sergio Rivera—one white, one Mex) went to Knoxville, Tennessee to buy some weed. When they got there, two blacks (including 15-year-old Rico Cook) were waiting for them, and blew their brains out in their car.

Damien Lee, 16, was wounded.

Cook and the other black, Deon Nolbert, turned themselves in.

There was a similar incident this year, as two Grand Rapids whites travelled to the east side of the state to do a drug deal in a retail store's parking lot. They were wasted by 2 blacks and a white girl.

Lots of lessons here that no one will learn.

The events surrounding Rivera and Morris' death are still under investigation by the Knoxville Police Department. Their murders were the ninth and tenth in what has been one of the bloodiest time periods in the area in recent years. Thirteen people have been killed in Knoxville since May 15.

N.S.: One of said lessons is that the Knoxville Horror, the carjacking-kidnapping-gang rape-murder of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom, would never have been carried out if ringleader Lemaricus Davidson had not been given a token sentence for a previous crime of aggravated carjacking, and thus free at the time.

Of course, that lesson doesn't apply to Rico Cook.

Hamilton! What the Real Alexander Hamilton (Who was Not an Immigrant) Said about Immigrants

By An Anonymous Reader
Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 3:18:00 P.M. EDT

Protesters should distribute copies of what the real Alexander Hamilton said about immigration:

"... foreigners will generally be apt to bring with them attachments to the persons they have left behind; to the country of their nativity, and to its particular customs and manners. They will also entertain opinions on government congenial with those under which they have lived; or, if they should be led hither from a preference to ours, how extremely unlikely is it that they will bring with them that temperate love of liberty, so essential to real republicanism? There may, as to particular individuals, and at particular times, be occasional exceptions to these remarks, yet such is the general rule. The influx of foreigners must, therefore, tend to produce a heterogeneous compound; to change and corrupt the national spirit; to complicate and confound public opinion; to introduce foreign propensities. In the composition of society, the harmony of the ingredients is all-important, and whatever tends to a discordant intermixture must have an injurious tendency."

Grilling Boomers: The Alt-Right Gets All Fired Up about BBQ (the Baby Boomer Question )

A series of conflicts at a Houston protest last Saturday between members of the Alt-Right and a slew of Texas based militia and “patriot” groups has reanimated a tired trope at the heart of the Alt-Right: baby boomers are responsible for every problem afflicting whites in modern America.

Baby boomers and the Jewish elites, rather.

Disdain for baby boomers is a foundational tenet of the Alt-Right that associates the post-WWII generation with warmongering, selfish capitulation to big business at the cost of principled conservatism, and, most offensively, voluntary subjugation of themselves and their children to so-called cultural Marxism….

Senate Investigates Loretta Lynch’s Conduct During Clinton Email Probe
By Andrew Rafferty
Friday, June 23, 2017, 2:22 p.m.
NBC News

A bipartisan group of senators on Friday requested more information from former Attorney General Loretta Lynch about her reported efforts to hamper the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email use as secretary of state.

The Democratic and Republican leaders of the Senate Judiciary Committee sent letters to Lynch, Clinton campaign staffer Amanda Renteria, and employees of the Open Society Foundations seeking more information about media reports that Lynch privately assured Democrats the investigation would soon stall out.

The panel cited reports in The New York Times and the Washington Post that the FBI obtained hacked documents that suggested Lynch assured Renteria would not “go too far.” The alleged assurance was indicated in an email from then-Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz to Leonard Benardo of the Open Society Foundations. However, the Post reported the documents were viewed within the FBI as unreliable and possibly fake, and Renteria has said Russians used her to spread the false information.

“The reports come amidst numerous allegations of political inference in controversial and high-profile investigations spanning the current and previous administrations,” the Senate committee said in a statement.

Ousted FBI Director James Comey cited the email as the reason behind his decision to publicly announce the end of the investigation into Clinton’s emails, and was later used as justification by President Donald Trump to fire Comey.

Felons in Black Robes: Meet Criminal, Reconquista Judge, Monica Harranz—and Her Accomplices!]

By Jerry PDX

This is a followup to the Portland, OR story I sent about Judge Monica Herranz who allowed an illegal immigrant to escape ICE agents through her back door. You ran the story here:

“Felons in Black Robes: Meet Criminal, Reconquista Judge, Monica Harranz—and Her Accomplices!”

This story just appeared in the Oregonian.

This is what happened in a nutshell: ICE agents were in the courthouse and supposedly looking for illegals. How they knew there was at least one there (Pacheco), is not stated anywhere. Pacheco was an illegal at the courthouse facing a DUI charge, his attorney told Herranz he didn't have his papers with him but didn't tell her he was actually an illegal, so she “didn't know.” She then let him out the back door (judge’s entrance).

There has been an “investigation,” and it has been determined that Herranz “didn't violate any judicial conduct rules.” From the article:

“Trial Court Administrator Barbara Marcille investigated Herranz's actions from Jan. 27 and found that Herranz didn’t knowingly help impaired-driving defendant Diddier Pacheco-Salazar elude capture.”

First off, the article says she let Pacheco out a door open to the public. I've been in the courtrooms and know well and good those back doors are not “open” to the public. They can be used by the public if allowed to, but they are not “open.”

She's claiming ignorance about his legal status, though I'm wondering what sort of documentation was presented to her for his DUI case. Doesn't something trigger when an illegal alien has been driving and is busted for DUI?

Pacheco's defense attorney told Herranz that Pacheco didn’t have his immigration papers, which means he (or she) lied to Herranz by suggesting he did have legal papers. If Herranz actually believed this lie, then why did she let Pacheco out the back door? After all, if he was legal, then it’s just a matter of checking up on his status. Is that defense attorney facing any charges for lying to the judge about his client’s legal status?

Herranz at least suspected Pacheco was an illegal because, again, there’s no reason for him to evade ICE agents if he was a legal citizen. The reasoning here is that because she didn’t “know” he was an illegal she didn’t do anything wrong, just suspecting he was an illegal and helping him elude ICE agents isn’t breaking any rules.

Is that legal sophistry or what? One has to wonder who this Court Administrator Barbara Marcill is and what her agenda is. I tried to find more info about Ms. Marcill but could only find a picture of her on google:

Like Herranz, she’s an attractive, middle-ageish woman who was probably a pretty hot number in her youth, a type that is often involved in protecting young male Hispanic and Negro criminals.

Note the author of this article: Aimee Green, evokes the “fear” mantra at least twice, how terrible it is that ICE makes people (in general) “afraid.” No Ms. Green, ICE doesn’t make legal citizens afraid, it doesn’t make legal immigrants afraid, it makes “illegals” afraid. As they should be.

So Much for the New Civility! Racial Supremacist Congressman Threatens Colleague with Violence on the House Floor

N.S.: The alleged reporter, Cristina Marcos, buried her lede, indeed, buried the entire story!

One honest headline would have been the one I used. Another would have been, “Black Dem Congressman, Cedric Richmond, Threatens White congressman, Steve King with Violence on the House Floor.”

“Black Dem accuses Steve King of 'white privilege' in heated exchange” is completely dishonest, even though Hill operative Cristina Marcos would surely challenge me with, ‘Didn’t he accuse Steve King of “white privilege”?’

Her headline editor could also have honestly written, “Two Clothed and Shod Congressmen Exchange Sharp Words”

Black Dem accuses Steve King of 'white privilege' in heated exchange
By Cristina Marcos

The Hill

The chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus accused Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa), who’s faced criticism in the past for racially charged comments, of bias stemming from “white privilege.”

King was offering an amendment to legislation considered in the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday that speeds up the return of unaccompanied immigrant children to their home countries if they haven’t been subject to human trafficking and aren’t at risk of persecution.

King’s amendment would require the Justice Department to report to Congress on crimes committed by the unaccompanied immigrant children following their release from Department of Homeland Security custody.

He began citing statistics comparing the violent death rate in El Salvador to the homicide rate in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.

Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-La.), who represents New Orleans and leads the Black Caucus, quickly interrupted.

“We’re going to lose all civility in this committee if he thinks it’s appropriate to compare New Orleans to Guatemala,” Richmond said.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) tried to be diplomatic. “The gentleman from Iowa has the right to make a statistical comparison between two locations,” he said.

But Richmond said it was inappropriate for King to compare New Orleans, which has a large African American population, to a country in Central America where people are fleeing violence.

“It’s not appropriate. It’s insensitive. And it’s nothing more than traditional white privilege of ‘let me criticize a minority city,’” Richmond said angrily.

“If the gentleman persists on it, then let’s go in the back and have the conversation about New Orleans,” he added. “If it takes walking across over there, then I’m prepared to do that, too.”

Richmond noted that lawmakers had been calling for more political civility in the wake of last week’s shooting at the GOP baseball practice, emphasizing that “words and actions have consequences.”

Goodlatte defended King’s right to compare the statistical data.

“Words have consequences. So do statistics, and so do arguments. This is the place to do it under the rules of the House,” Goodlatte said, yielding back to King.

GRA: The truth hit a bullseye, right on Richmond's noggin. Go get 'em, King.

Motorcyclist Deliberately Wreaks Havoc, Causing Chain Accident (Video!)

Road rage incident caught on camera triggers massive crash on California highway
Updated: 9:17 PM MDT Jun 23, 2017

A video of a motorcycle rider kicking his leg at a vehicle along a freeway in an apparent road rage, triggering a chain-reaction crash, is going viral on social media.

The incident happened on Highway 14 in Santa Clarita, just north of Los Angeles.

In the video, a motorcyclist appears to kick a car, and then the vehicle swerves. The driver hit the center wall, spun back into traffic and hit an SUV, causing it to flip over before it came to a stop.

The motorcyclist continued driving down the highway, while nearby vehicles stopped to help the victims involved in the crash.

The passenger who shot the video told KNBC he started recording when the gray sedan cut off a passing motorcyclist.

"Words went back and forth," he told KNBC.

One person in the SUV that flipped over was taken to a local hospital, the California Highway Patrol said.

The person who recorded the video turned the footage over to authorities.

Isaac Asimov on Democracy, Population, and Freedom of the Bathroom

By Nicholas Stix

A colleague just sent me the following succinctly brilliant observation by the late, legendary science-fiction writer, an important observation by M. Boyd Wilcox, and a third observation by anonymous writer.

1. The Population-to-Representation Ratio

Isaac Asimov said that democracy cannot survive overpopulation:

“It's going to destroy it all. I use what I call my bathroom metaphor. If two people live in an apartment, and there are two bathrooms, then both have what I call freedom of the bathroom, go to the bathroom any time you want, and stay as long as you want to for whatever you need. And this to my way is ideal. And everyone believes in the freedom of the bathroom. It should be right there in the Constitution.

“But if you have 20 people in the apartment and two bathrooms, no matter how much every person believes in freedom of the bathroom, there is no such thing. You have to set up times for each person, you have to bang at the door, ‘Aren't you through yet,’ and so on. And in the same way, democracy cannot survive overpopulation. Human dignity cannot survive it. Convenience and decency cannot survive it. As you put more and more people onto the world, the value of life not only declines, but it disappears. It doesn't matter if someone dies.”

[M. Boyd] Wilcox said,

“The original ratio (in Congress) was 1-30,000. Not only has our nation’s population increased over 270 times since the founding of the Republic. It would take 8,700 members of the U.S. House to restore that original ratio.”

2. I [my colleague] recently read somewhere that Western countries are currently too complex to be governed effectively, which contributes to the disintegration of representative government.

N.S.: My only quibble with Asimov is in his invocation of “democracy.” Democracy does not promise “freedom of the bathroom,” or any other freedom, save for the ability of a majority, or even a mere plurality of voters, to impose their will on the rest of the nation.

America was not founded as democracy, and although it has democratic elections, it has never been one. The U.S. Constitution, particularly the Bill of Rights, is undemocratic. If we were a democracy, the Bill of Rights would have long ago bit the dust. As it is, the Bill of Rights is presently on life support.

The brilliance of Asimov’s observation is in its powerful imagery, and in how it implicitly cuts across different political categories.

• It evokes the law—overpopulation requires all sort of laws and stealth law regulations of things that were formerly private matters;

• The environment, because we now have all sorts of waste disposal and water issues we didn’t previously have;

• Culture, because we have to transform our society from an individualistic to a collectivist one; and

• Morality, because moral standards lasting centuries, if not millennia will have to be jettisoned.

America was founded as, in Ben Franklin’s immortal words, “A Republic, if you can keep it.”

Can we?

President Trump: We Will BUILD THE WALL!

Re-posted by Nicholas Stix

Just yesterday, I’d remarked to my chief of research that Trump had not spoken in months of building the wall, and Mitt Romney’s niece, the RNC chairman, had left it out of a GOP to-do list about two weeks ago.

It occurred to me that Trump was becoming like Bush II: triangulating to the left, while having the same attitude of “Who are you going to vote for instead of me.”

Of course, John McCain and Mitt Romney learned the answer to that seemingly rhetorical question: Nobody!

However, as happened with King George II, the DPUSA’s racism and treason have been pushing millions of voters to support Trump, just as happened during the election.

The question remains: Was Trump just throwing his base a bone with the following tweet, or was it meant honestly?

Mets Losing 1-1 in the Fourth Inning to the Team Formerly Known as the Brooklyn Dodgers in LA

By Nicholas Stix

I know what you’re thinking—“Isn’t 1-1 a tie?”

It is, if any team but the Mets is involved.

They’re presumably no longer in the fourth, but I haven’t had the never to check. Last night, I shut off the infernal machine after alleged sinkerballer Robert Gsellman gave up I think his third dinger that game in the second inning. He gave up 8 runs in 4 1/3 innings, seven of them earned, and the Mets ultimately lost, 12-0.

The other day, their newest Tommy John PTSD patient (last two years on the shelf), and soon-to-be ex-big league hurler, Zack Wheeler, gave up seven runs in two innings, and is now back on his shelf.

The Mets have the record over the past ten or so years for TJ surgeries, but they are going to extend it. “Tommy Johns on the house!”

“Scholarly Research” Asserting Racist Employment Discrimination Against Blacks is Exposed as Fraudulent!

[Postscript, Tuesday, June 20, 2007 2017, at 2:29 a.m.: “Economists” Marianne Bertrand and Sendhil Mullainathan are racist hypocrites: They know that morally and academically unfit blacks are given massive advantages (e.g., up to 300 SAT points over whites), and admitted to universities and graded based on the color of their skin, but then expect employers to act as though they didn’t also know this, and suddenly become color-blind, but only when that is advantageous to the same blacks.

The fraudulent “research” I discuss below got Sendhil Mullainathan a tenured, endowed chair at Harvard the next year.]

Are You an Evil Racist If You Balk at Hiring Someone Named “S—tavious”?
By Nicholas Stix
September 20, 2011, 8:15 a.m.
[Corrected on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at 2:18 a.m.]

Back in 2003, the University of Chicago`s Marianne Bertrand and Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sendhil Mullainathan published a classic example of pseudo-scholarship: A study showing that, all other things being equal, job applicants with “African-American” sounding names are likely to suffer job discrimination compared to applicants with white-sounding names. (“Are Emily and Greg More Employable than Lakisha and Jamal? A Field Experiment on Labor Market Discrimination,” MIT Department of Economics Working Paper No. 03-22, May 27, 2003)

The researchers sent out application letters for imaginary job candidates in which everything was equal—grades, major, school—except their names. They found that “White names receive 50 percent more callbacks for interviews” than black-sounding names.

The “study” led to a blizzard of MSM “racism” accusations against corporate America, the same world which routinely hires unqualified blacks over qualified whites. Generating such accusations was, of course, the point of the “study.”

In 2009, for example, CNN writer Jessica Dickler opened a duplicitous story on this subject by focusing on whites with problem names (her first two examples were a white man named Glenn Miller, who has the same name as a WWII era bandleader, and a white woman named Colleen Rzucidlo, whose name cannot be pronounced without special training). Their pictures were shown, in order to gull white readers, before Dickler turned in the tenth paragraph to her real subject: Discrimination against blacks with odd-sounding names.

And even then, Dickler continued her deception, by focusing on a Kenyan woman named Nakores Sameita.

(The only other person Dickler cited was a Hispanic man named Duram Gallegos who couldn’t speak Spanish. We’re supposed to see Gallegos as a victim, because prospective employers expect him to be a Spanish speaker, rather than as the affirmative action beneficiary that he is.)

And Dickler produced the Bertrand-Mullainathan study with a triumphant flourish:

For example, résumés with white-sounding names have a 50% greater chance of receiving a callback when compared to those with African American names, according to a study performed for the National Bureau of Economic Research by the University of Chicago`s Marianne Bertrand and Massachusetts Institute of Technology`s Sendhil Mullainathan.

“Can your name keep you from getting hired? These job seekers think their unusual names are getting in the way of their job,” by Jessica Dickler, CNNMoney, August 27, 2009.]
“Nakores Sameita” is not an “African-American name.” Shiniqua Washington or Lakisha Smith are African-American names.

Why do I boldly assert that the Bertrand-Mullainathan study was “pseudo-scholarship”? Because
  1. Its assumption that all other things were equal; and
  2. Its assumption that there could be no good reason to discriminate against someone named, say, “Shiniqua,” or “S—tavious” (the latter is a real but unprintable name), or Lakisha or Jamal.

Where blacks and whites are concerned, all other things are neverequal. If a white and a black job candidate both have identical GPAs, even for identical courses at the same school, the white candidate will invariably be academically superior, because unqualified blacks enjoy massive privilege (here and here) in getting admitted to “selective” and “highly selective” universities, and massive college grade inflation, once accepted.

(In 1998, I pseudonymously published [as “Robert Berman”] Making Up the Grade: Notes from the Antiversity, which was then the state-of-the-art study on college grade inflation, in the neocon journal, Academic Questions. I published a series on the Internet in 2001: here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here.)

When I taught college, I also engaged in grade inflation for black students, though not to the degree that my colleagues did. I’d give black students who had earned a failing grade, Ds and Cs. But I had colleagues who gave As to black students for term papers as bad or worse than Michele Obama’s work at Princeton.

For over 40 years, everyone in academia, including Chicago's Bertrand and MIT's Mullainathan, as well as everyone involved in hiring college grads, has known this.

Anyone who has dealt with black employees in academia, the schools, or the non-academic workforce also knows that the average black employee is less punctual, less diligent, and more troublesome than the average white employee. There is even an old phrase, that 20 years ago was still used in private by liberal, as well as conservative whites: “CPT”; “colored people’s time”, which refers to black educators’ notorious tardiness.

The real issue is what a “black-sounding” name says about what an employer can expect from a worker: Trouble.

It’s bad enough dealing with young blacks, whatever their names are. When sociologist William Julius Wilson’s researchers interviewed Chicago businessmen in the early 1990s for his book, >When Work Disappears, the white bosses all gave dishonest, PC answers to the interviewers’ questions. But the black businessmen, who did not have to worry about extortionary civil rights lawsuits, felt no such constraints. They told the interviewers flat-out that they avoided hiring young black men because most of them were unemployable: They came to work late, refused to do an honest day’s work, and caused trouble in the workplace.

Beginning with the welfare revolution during the mid-1960s, leftist organizers and welfare officials (for example, New York Mayor John Lindsay’s social services commissionerMitchell “Come and Get It” Ginsberg) got hostile, working-class, black women with out-of-wedlock children to quit their jobs and go on the dole. Those women then served as role models for millions of young black girls who had never worked. The black illegitimacy rate went from 21.7 percent in 1965, when Daniel Patrick Moynihan wrote his report on the black family, to 72.3 percent today.

When The Moynihan Report was issued by the Johnson Administration, black leadersdenounced Moynihan as a “racist.”He never spoke honestly about race and social policy again… in public.

Those hostile black girls and women led an underclass baby boom, during which ever-higher proportions of them gave their babies “black” or “African” names. (The scare quotes are because the names were often simply made up—many of the fathers of said children couldn’t even spell their own kids’ names—and hadn’t previously been considered “black” or “African.” And the names that were African tended to be Moslem, which made no sense, since African Moslems traditionally held blacks in contempt and, as a group, had been the most abusive of all slave traders and owners.)

The mothers of these children were expressing hostility towards whites, America, and Christianity. They inculcated this in their violent, criminal children, whom sensible whites avoided at all costs. The names became indelibly associated with the black criminal class.

That occasionally one runs into someone with one of these names who is bright, well-adjusted, law-abiding, punctual and a hard worker does not change the ugly norm.

In 1989, when I was a social worker, while making a home visit to one of my foster mothers, Martha B., I looked at the framed photograph of her young son, who was in school. When she told me, “That’s my son, James,” she saw the surprise on my face, read my mind, and answered, “None of that Shiniqua s—t.”

Which brings me to “S—tavious.”

S–tavious J. Cook, 15, stands under indictment in Illinois for burglary, first-degree murder committed during a separate crime, and a slew of other charges.

Was a time, when criminologists such as James Q. Wilson and John J. Di Iulio used the term “super-predator” to refer to folks like “S—tavious.” Blacks and their white leftist allies tarred such usage as “racist,” Wilson retired, Di Iulio seems to have fallen silent, a loyalty oath to black criminals was imposed on younger criminology professors, and today what passes for “scholarship” in the field tells us that the “S—taviouses” of the world are nothing but the victims of a racist criminal justice system.

[Although James Q. Wilson was the greatest scholar of crime of the past 40-odd years, he never referred to himself as a “criminologist,” and was officially a professor of “political science,” “public policy,” and “public policy and management.”]

Now, my white leftist and black supremacist readers are going to complain that “S—tavious” is an extreme and thus uncharacteristic example. Then how about Lemaricus, Letalvis, Lovelle,

Hydra, Jahmell,

Latrine or Pimp?

The prisons are full of people with these sorts of names, and there are millions of violent people with such names walking around who ought to be in prison, but aren’t.

Avoiding socializing with, or hiring people with names like “Shiniqua” or “S—tavious” is a sign not of racism, but of wisdom.

Note the usual media device of having a negro reporter, Karma Dickerson, at the scene. I always wonder how that works. Whenever there is negro violence there must be a secret order: We need a negro reporter for this one! Get Laquifa or Latrinius on the scene right now!

In this incident, there are two hideous squat, fat negresses (app. 300-lbs. each) shoplifting Cheetos, while a tall, fit negro male (app. 6’3” and 175 lbs.) defends them. He shoves the store clerks (misdemeanor assaults, accessory) attempting to stop the troglodytes from stealing.

In a hilarious moment, the Cheetos go flying, so the shoplifter merely goes back and grabs another bag. After all, she's entitled to that fresh bag because the clerk ruined the first one she stole. A white woman films the scene from her car and one of the walking bags of cellulite spots her, yells: “Hey, don't do that!,” and runs up to the open window and attempts to strike her. The white woman has a surprise, though, she's got a Taser (I gotta get one of those things for myself), and gives her a shock. Yes, at times, there is sweet justice in this universe.

N.S.: Yes, Jerry, this is a veritable catalogue of stereotypes. Note, too that the “reporter” identified the witnesses/crime victims, while not id’ing the perps. This in order to aid and abet the perps in escaping any punishment, via their hunting down, intimidating, and harming, all the way to murdering the vic/witnesses.

In my own reporting, I have gone so far as to “anonymize” people who spoke to me on relatively minor matters, because they were low-level employees who were at the bottom of the totem pole, and were in danger of being fired and whitelisted by sadists up the line.
