“Cute Mug Shot Girl” arrested in North Carolina in shoplifting bust

A North Carolina beauty whose booking photo went viral is back in trouble following a shoplifting arrest, records revealed.
Alysa Bathrick, 18, became Internet famous late last year when she posted her own mug shot from a drug bust.
“Surrendered myself at 7 a.m., got released at 11:30 a.m.,” she wrote in December 2014. “F--k what you heard. And my mugshot’s cute.”
The bad girl’s outlaw attitude and model looks earned her an instant following as “Cute Mug Shot Girl” from lovestruck web lurkers offering to bail her out.
“and if you’re into handcuffs we can do that too,” wrote one admirer.
The post has been shared more than 2,800 times as Bathrick bantered with her new online fans. When one asked what had gotten her in trouble, she casually replied “xanax homie.”
It was at least the third time Bathrick had been arrested in North Carolina on charges that include a pair of assaults.
Now she has another glamour mug to add to her collection.
